This school trip near Disneyland Paris takes the form of a self-guided tour: classes encounter iconic South American species in two fully immersive areas, designed as a true open-air educational zoo, and proceed at each group’s own pace.
The educational booklet, provided before the visit, links the observations to the school curriculum in the UK and Ireland. On request, a dedicated guide can lead a guided tour in English, for an additional fee per pupil.
Your students explore the park with their educational workbooks in hand: each class plans its day according to its level and objectives.
Hundreds of parrots flying freely in the large immersive aviary, along with jaguars, giant otters, capybaras, and penguins in their respective areas: students observe the animals up close in habitats that recreate their natural environments.
Two immersive tours, Amazonia Trek and Patagonia Trek, take you through the landscapes of South America. The class moves at its own pace and enjoys the free activities offered throughout the day.
The educational booklet, provided before the visit, outlines the content and observation prompts for each year group. Species adaptation, food chains, habitats, and biodiversity: the concepts in the curriculum are explored in the field.
Before your visit, you’ll receive an educational booklet containing content and observation ideas tailored to each year group, from Nursery to Year 13.
You can choose what best fits your classroom project from among the themes in our educational program: species adaptation, food chains, habitats, biodiversity, and the role of ecosystems. On the day of the visit, each group will know what to look for, and why.
The booklet is sent to you before your visit and is not available for download. Have a question about its content or your lesson plan? The educational team is here to help.
Your three-step plan.
Set a date, then prepare for the field trip using the educational booklet, which will be sent to you before your visit: work with your students to choose the topics you’ll explore. On request, you can also book a guided tour in English with a dedicated guide.
Explore Amazonia Trek and Patagonia Trek at your own pace, with the booklet in hand. Free activities, a petting zoo, and a playground provide entertainment throughout the day; the covered picnic area is the perfect spot for lunch.
Back in the classroom, the observations made during the visit serve as a starting point: presentations, classification of the species encountered, and discussions on conservation. The field trip becomes a year-long project.
Included in the self-guided tour price.
Throughout the day, free activities allow students to observe the animals in their natural behaviors and learn through hands-on experiences.
Offered free of charge throughout the day by the park staff, these activities enhance the self-guided tour and extend the students' observations.
An unforgettable walk alongside dwarf goats and alpacas. For school groups, we recommend visiting in small groups.
The park's XXL playground invites children to imagine themselves at the top of the rainforest. Access is at the teacher's discretion.
Parrot World isn’t just a destination for an educational outing with animals; it’s also a sanctuary for abandoned parrots, dedicated to animal welfare.
Our animal park takes in birds that have been abandoned, often acquired by owners who were unable to meet their social and behavioral needs or accommodate their long lifespans over the long term.
Within our giant aviary, modeled after their natural habitats, these birds live in semi-freedom alongside their fellow parrots. This group living environment promotes their well-being and the expression of natural behaviors, while adding a meaningful and responsible dimension to your school field trip to the zoo.
