Most school trips to Paris revolve around the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Disneyland Paris. They are must-sees, but several days in the city centre mean a lot of travelling, queues and a tight budget.
Adding a day outside the city, in Seine-et-Marne, gives your pupils something different: space to move, hands-on science and a breath of nature. And the logistics are ideal: Disneyland Paris and Parrot World are only 20 minutes apart, which keeps coach journeys short and makes the most of your group's time and budget.
This itinerary is a starting point. Adapt it to your pupils' age, your learning objectives and your coach operator's timetable.
If your group is already visiting the Disney parks, you can add a different kind of day, away from the rides. Parrot World is about 20 minutes from Disneyland Paris and 40 from central Paris, so it fits into your stay without a long journey.
It is the ideal educational complement to Marne-la-Vallée: a calm day in the heart of nature that balances the excitement of the parks with discovery and learning.

Parrot World is an immersive wildlife park near Paris inspired by the habitats of South America.
On request, a guided tour in English is available (supplement per pupil). Free animal talks, the mini-farm and the XXL playground are included in the self-guided visit.
Whatever your pupils' age, the visit adapts. Here is how school groups make the most of the day.
A shorter day: the mini-farm, the playground and watching the animals with the booklet are enough to fill the day.
Focus on classification, habitats and food chains. Pupils observe how South American species adapt to their environment and sort them by group and diet. Back in class, the visit becomes a poster or a short presentation.
A conservation angle: why parrots are abandoned, the role of a sanctuary and how modern zoos contribute to biodiversity.
The visit as a case study in biology, geography or environmental science.
