Are you looking for an educational farm in the Île-de-France region for a family outing, a school field trip, or an activity with your recreation center?
The traditional educational farm has its merits. But in Seine-et-Marne, just 30 minutes from Paris, Parrot World offers everything an educational farm has to offer… and so much more. A 14-hectare immersive animal park, a giant one-hectare aviary, jaguars, Patagonian penguins, a hands-on animal care workshop for kids, and a bistronomic restaurant with a view of the alpacas and Cameroonian sheep!
The educational farms of Île-de-France—Fermes de Gally, Bergerie Nationale de Rambouillet, and Ferme de Paris in the Bois de Vincennes—meet very specific expectations. Whether you’re looking for an educational farm in the 94 or 77 departments in the heart of the countryside, Parrot World meets all these expectations:
At the heart of Parrot World, the Children’s Ranch is the area that most closely resembles a traditional educational farm—and that’s by design. Here, visitors will find alpacas, dwarf goats, pigs, and sheep in a grassy area where children can freely approach them, observe them up close, and experience that moment of connection with the animals—which remains the very essence of any educational farm.
It is a gentle space for first encounters, essential for the youngest visitors. Before crossing the aviary or discovering the jaguars, children find something familiar here: the warmth of an animal they can touch, feed, and observe at eye level.
For families looking for an educational farm near Paris or Meaux, the Ranch des Enfants is an ideal starting point.
This is undoubtedly the most memorable experience at Parrot World, and it has no equal among educational farms in the Île-de-France region. A giant, one-hectare aviary is home to 350 free-flying birds: scarlet macaws, Amazon parrots, flamingos, toucans, cockatiels… The birds fly freely above the visitors.
Here, the immersion is total: the sound of wings, the colors, the constant movement—it’s a sensory experience that children will remember for a long time. Discovering the animals of Parrot World in their recreated natural habitat is a concrete and vivid demonstration of biodiversity!
No educational farm in Paris or the Seine-et-Marne department offers such an immersive experience!
Parrot World goes far beyond farm animals. This immersive wildlife park is home to wildlife from South America and Patagonia that no educational farm in the Île-de-France region can offer:
Meet our giant otters, the true stars of the Amazon. Watch their spectacular agility as they dive, dash about, and play in the water. These social and expressive animals never fail to captivate visitors of all ages.
Meet the world’s largest rodents. Capybaras charm people of all ages with their peaceful nature and endearing appearance. Watching them lounge by the water is a delightful experience that no one wants to miss.
The park's XXL playground invites children to imagine themselves at the top of the rainforest.
An unforgettable walk alongside dwarf goats, pigs, and alpacas!
Educational activities are available throughout the day.
While educational farms offer workshops on baking or gardening, Parrot World takes things a step further with a unique experience: "Junior Zookeeper” an immersive workshop designed for children ages 7 to 11 who spend a morning stepping into the shoes of a real animal caretaker.
• Preparing meals for the animals
• Feeding the alpacas, dwarf goats, coatis, parakeets, and capybaras
• Cleaning and maintaining the living areas
• Observing animal behavior and interacting directly with the animals
Teachers, recreation center staff, and nonprofit leaders: Parrot World welcomes groups year-round with specialized educational programs designed to align with school curricula. Exploring biodiversity, raising awareness about endangered species, and learning about animal care—these themes naturally align with science and environmental education curricula. For schools in the 77, Paris, or the 94, Parrot World offers a field trip that is both accessible and far more enriching than a traditional educational farm.
The park is a member of EAZA(European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) and AFdPZ(French Association of Zoological Parks), two organizations that guarantee high standards in animal welfare and educational programs.
Just a stone's throw from Parrot World, on the same grounds as the Domaine de Crécy, Le Panoramic is one of the most unique spots in Seine-et-Marne. This bistronomic restaurant, open to everyone, serves homemade French-South American cuisine!
What makes Le Panoramic unique? Its panoramic terraces look directly out onto the enclosures of alpacas and Cameroonian sheep—an African breed with large spiral horns, spectacular and rare in the Île-de-France region. From your table, your gaze takes in the lush green golf course and the animals grazing peacefully just a few meters away. Dining while watching alpacas graze under the Seine-et-Marne sun is an experience few restaurants in France can offer!

Educational activities are available for visitors throughout the day.
The workshop is designed for children ages 7 through 11. No accompanying adults are required; children participate independently under the supervision of a professional instructor. It takes place every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Advance reservations are recommended, as space is limited.
