The park is open every day
10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
You've booked the Eurostar, sorted the hotel, and planned every parade at Disneyland Paris. But what about the days when even the magic kingdom starts to feel like one long queue? This Easter 2026, there is a remarkable alternative or rather, the perfect companion sitting just 20 minutes from the theme park !
Parrot World, nestled in the Seine-et-Marne countryside at Crécy-la-Chapelle, is the kind of discovery that British and Welsh families make and immediately wish they'd known about sooner.
Parrot World is Île-de-France's first immersive wildlife park entirely dedicated to the biodiversity of South America. Built on a former Brie farmland estate, the park transports visitors into two vast, distinct ecosystems: the lush Amazonia Trek and the windswept Patagonia Trek. Together they are home to over 600 animals, many of which roam in semi-freedom alongside you.
What you'll encounter: jaguars viewable through underwater panoramic glass, giant Amazon otters splashing in their river, Humboldt penguins, capybaras, coatis, nandus, guanacos, red ibises, flamingos and more than 200 parrots (macaws, amazons, conures) soaring freely above your head inside one of Europe's biggest aviaries.
There are no animal shows, no tricks, no performances. Every interaction is led by trained wildlife keepers who are passionate about conservation. The philosophy ethical, educational, animal-first will feel immediately familiar to British families accustomed to Chester Zoo, Longleat or Whipsnade. The quality, equally, will impress.
England's Easter school holidays run from 30 March to 10 April 2026. Welsh school holidays extend even further from 3 to 17 April. Parrot World's Easter programme lands right in the heart of this window.
On Saturday 4, Sunday 5 and Monday 6 April 2026, the park hosts its Grande Chasse aux Œufs a fully organised chocolate egg hunt set in a dedicated, secured outdoor zone :

Parrot World is the kind of place that makes time slow down. There are no queues for animals, no fast passes, no gift shop at every corner just a jaguar watching you up close, a macaw flying over your head, and a penguin waddling over to take a fish from your hand.
It's the kind of experience children and adults don't merely enjoy. They remember it.

One of the best things we did near Disneyland Paris. The jaguars were extraordinary and the kids are still talking about feeding the penguins!
