Natürlicher Lebensraum
Dieser Vogel bevorzugt Regenwälder und Savannen im Flachland. Manchmal ist er auch in trockeneren Gebieten anzutreffen. Gelegentlich ruht er sich in Mangroven aus. In Mittelamerika kann er in Gebiete bis zu einer Höhe von 1.000 m vordringen.
