Avis Parc

We visited on Easter Monday. It was a lovely sunny day. Arriving early, we had a good spot in the car park and it wasn’t too busy inside. The Amazonia Trek is amazing - a huge covered area with lots of birds to observe and others flying overhead. We also really enjoyed the small grey parrot experience. The farm is great fun for little ones, but not huge. The Patagonia Trek is nice enough, but very small. If you take your time, it’s a decent visit overall.
The main problem we had was getting food. Coming up to midday, the queue for the base camp food outlet was huge, so we decided to try the Panoramic Restaurant just outside the park. We walked down there to find that, on Sundays and bank holidays, they only offer a brunch menu for more than 50 euros per person. We made our way back to the park and queued for about an hour to buy food. The problem seemed to be that they have two machines where you can place orders, but they are slow and difficult to use. The food is prepared very quickly, but you have to wait an age for everyone in front of you to order. If they could fix this problem, it would improve the experience.
There were several improvements being made to the park that we could see (like new enclosures), including to the car park, which was pretty much a building site and extraordinarily busy when we left.
It’s a park with a lot of potential. They need to keep investing in their infrastructure.
